The mission of the Club shall be to preserve, enrich and increase the natural beauty of the New York City environment for the public benefit through education, horticulture, conservation, and other related undertakings.
Scholarships
Professional learning opportunities for NYC public school science teachers to enhance classroom learning.
Grants
Funding for worthy environmental and garden projects by nonprofit groups throughout NYC.
Environmental Forum
Annual educational forums on environmental issues.
Nature Kits
Collections of natural specimens and teaching materials for use in NYC public school classrooms.
Community Projects
To further CGC鈥檚 mission of greening and beautifying all five boroughs of New York City and educating youth about nature, the Community Projects Committee (formerly the Conservation Committee) identifies major projects to receive funds and oversees the responsible use of those funds by grantees.
