Thank you for your interest in the Grants program of TÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº (“CGC”). CGC has been awarding grants to nonprofit organizations (“NPO”) in New York City since 1981, introducing thousands of city residents, young and old, to the wonders of gardening and farming.
If you are applying on behalf of a New York City (five boroughs) NPO, please continue with this application. If you are an educational institution, e.g. nursery, K-12, afterschool program, or collegiate located within the five boroughs click here to be re-directed to CGC’s grant application for schools.
CGC only awards grants to NPOs with a valid tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and which are classified as public charities and not private foundations. If an organization receives grant funding over several consecutive years, we may choose to pause funding for one year. CGC does not make grants for endowment, special events, sponsorships, annual appeal campaigns, or general operating support.
If your organization received funding in 2025, please note that CGC will not consider a new proposal until a 2025 grant report is provided either from the site visit by a committee member or an emailed report.
For your convenience, the deadlines for nonprofit applications are as follows:
